About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced administrative professional to join the Allied Health Social Work team on a full-time basis working 38 hours per week.
As a Senior Administration Officer, you will be working with the Allied Health team to answer patients and appointment enquires and to assist the department as required.
Salary range: $34.08 - $38.10 (MCA3) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
- Work alongside the Social Work Director and Team Leaders handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Manage phone calls from patients and clinical staff taking a variety of enquiries
- Establish, maintain and competently utilise office processes, using various information systems to ensure the recording and filing of documentation and information
- Assist with accurate and timely data entry of departmental database using electronic systems
- Support the MHB main desk admin staff as required/ as directed by Team Leader
- Booking and managing outpatient appointments in TAHDIS (Team Allied Health Data Information System)
- Administrative tasks as per direction from your Administration Team Leader
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients and visitors.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of the team
- Ability to provide reliable, efficient and effective office administrative procedures in a timely and organised manner
- High level literacy skills, in particular grammar and spelling, and an ability to draft correspondence accurately
- Ability to rapidly acquire proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, various databases and other office-related software applications
