Flinders' Women and Children Division has approximately 3,500 births per year and is internationally recognised as a Baby Friendly Health Service which protects, promotes and supports women's choice to breastfeed, giving babies the best start in life.
About the Role:
As the Senior Administrative Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our department by providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support. This role requires a high level of autonomy, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance on administrative practices, utilise a range of administrative skills, and delegate tasks while adhering to occupational health and safety procedures.
- Offer confidential support, interpret guidelines, develop efficient procedures, and implement systems to enhance service effectiveness.
- Plan and coordinate meetings with various stakeholders, including other departments, educational institutions, and external organisations.
- Provide assistance to consultants in private practice, including billing, and support orientation and training of administrative staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite and Dictaphone typing,
- Proven experience in providing general comprehensive and confidential clerical, typing and receptionist tasks to senior officers
- Experience in developing, maintaining and controlling appropriate records and filing systems.
