The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the department's data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
What will the role do?
This role will work exclusively on the development of the NextGen fines system. Using your operational background and knowledge, you will work on a range of stakeholders and partners to provide expert advice and input into business requirements.
Supports Product Owners, Change Managers, Designers, Testers and Business Analysts with in-depth business expertise. Actively participate in the review of NextGen deliverables that will lead to the implementation of new or enhanced business functionality.
Support the delivery streams through detailed business knowledge and provides implementation support. The Senior Advisor will also play a key role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as well as transitional activities for new products and services into the Model Office and Production environments.
What skills and knowledge should the Senior Advisor have?
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience working within the FES business with current and relevant expert knowledge of one or more business areas and is deemed a ‘trusted advisor' to the business.
- Proven experience working with personnel at all levels including the ability to present outcomes and influence senior manager and directors.
- Proven analytical and process driven capability and the aptitude to translate business requirements into user stories.
- Experience in business analysis and/or subject matter expertise within a large complex business and technology transformation program.
- Demonstrated experience in UAT in one or more of FES business areas.
