In this exciting and challenging role, you will support and enable the self-determination reform agenda across DEECA through the implementation of the Action Plan for Pupangarli Marnmarnepu ‘Owning Our Future' – the Aboriginal Self-Determination Reform Strategy 2020-2025. Accountabilities of this role will include, facilitating Aboriginal Cultural Safety training to DEECA's workforce, implementing, and embedding Aboriginal Cultural Safety initiatives, engaging with learning and development providers, preparing detailed project work, and supporting the implementation of communication and engagement strategies for capability and cultural development projects and programs.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Sound knowledge and understanding of current challenges, issues, opportunities, and community aspirations amongst Aboriginal Victorian communities.
- Extensive experience in facilitation, using knowledge of cultural and communication sensitivities.
- Capability development - demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning and organisational development programs and initiatives that achieve business objectives.
- An appropriate qualification in a field such as learning and development, organisational development, education or a related discipline, (or working towards one) will be highly desirable but not essential.
