- Managing heritage advice and approvals processes for a diverse range of projects in Victoria and nationally
- Working on projects across the property and buildings, transport, water, energy and resources, and environment market sectors
- Investigating and reporting on a wide range of heritage matters, including statutory approvals and consultation with Traditional Owners, through field and desktop work
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal specialists and sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils.
- Supporting and contributing to the continued development of our team's technical skills through mentorship
- Developing and supporting new business opportunities within the Cultural Heritage sector within Victoria and nationally
- 4 or more years of experience across heritage approval processes under the Heritage Act 2017 and the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
- Experience with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is preferred but not a requirement.
- Experience working with state and territory legislation and heritage approval processes.
- A Bachelor's degree, and Honours or post graduate qualifications in archaeology, cultural heritage management, conservation architecture or related field.
- Meeting the requirements to be a heritage advisor under Section 189(1) of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and The Minister's Guidelines on Appropriate qualifications for Heritage Advisors is essential.
- Experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred, with a natural ability to build positive client relationships and openness to identifying and developing new business.
