This role demonstrates a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to ensure effective service delivery within the speciality area of the CYMHS unit. This role delivers high level profession-specific clinical services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for consumers with severe and complex mental health issues in a community-based child and youth mental health setting. This role is required to participate in providing support to the Ipswich Emergency Department as part of the Access/Intake Team on-call roster during business hours and extended hours services.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills to undertake non-routine clinical practice with a broad understanding within continuum of care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level communication in a demanding multidisciplinary team environment with the need for high levels of risk sensitivity and case review.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives, and provide clinical supervision to less experienced practitioners.
- Demonstrate a high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention within the current legislative and policy context of a Mental Health service. Specific knowledge and skills in Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and/or the treatment of eating disorders, would be highly regarded.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
