Allied Health Team Leader - Sunshine Coast

An opportunity is currently available for a Team Leader of our multidisciplinary Allied Health service within the Sunshine Coast region

Allied Connect is a multidisciplinary community Allied Health practice specialising in providing rehabilitation services to a range of clients in the community, disability and aged care settings. Our team provides a varied caseload including neurological, orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory and post-surgical/deconditioned clients.

We have an opportunity for a Team Leader within the Brisbane region. The role is based primarily in Brisbane and will include coverage across the wider region to West Morton, Darling Downs, and Sunshine Coast. 

This role is for an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist (min 3 years of experience) with a proven track record in mentoring junior staff, providing support and guidance for complex presentations and fostering referral relationships within existing networks.

The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge and understanding regarding recommendations to meet accreditation and funding guidelines. Recent professional development in Health Management and/or Training and Assessment would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be able to identify and development opportunities and foster new referral relationships to further develop the Allied Health service.

Essential Criteria

1. Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with full general AHPRA registration;
2. Current Australian National Police Name Check (<3 years old);
3. Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Community, Aged Care or Disability sector;
4. Proven time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks;
5. Proven ability to mentor junior staff; and
6. Proven ability to foster existing referral networks.

Desirable Criteria

1. Qualifications in Training and Assessment;
2. Qualifications in Leadership and Management; and
3. Ability to identify and develop new referral pathways.
