About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join our high-performing Clinical IT Operations Team! We are recruiting a temporary, full-time Senior Analyst. The position would suit applicants who have a technology support background. The successful candidate will be primarily working out of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, however, some travel will be required to other laboratory sites across Sydney Local Health District and South Western Sydney Local Health District.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. - Ensure that the technology infrastructure, including desktop hardware, that supports our Laboratory Information System (LIS) and LIS-related applications is implemented, maintained and developed, to meet business needs and enable more appropriate and effective use of diagnostic services. This includes configuration management, problem management, change management and project support.
- Provide a timely response to the resolution of technology incidents and problems.
- Maintain and improve IT links with customers, enabling improved service delivery.
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in providing effective information technology solutions including installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of IT systems and related infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation and provision of cloud based and/or on premise systems, associated systems administration, hardware and software configuration and storage backups in accordance with NSWHP standards and project/operational requirements.
- Proven experience in installing and managing remote desktops, including user account setups and security via Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective provision of user support, troubleshooting and all associated facets within a busy and complex IT environment.
- Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise and consult with a variety of stakeholders and effectively communicating and tailoring potentially complex IT information to be understood by the end user.
- Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise, multi task, take initiative and meet strict timeframes within a challenging work environment.
- Current unencumbered NSW Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the role.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
