About the Role:
As a key member of the Integrity and Assurance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Victorian Catholic schools and boarding premises comply with minimum standards and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Integrity and Assurance, you will contribute to a professional, skilled, and motivated team dedicated to excellence. Your responsibilities will include assessing compliance, moderating assessments, reviewing registration applications, building effective relationships with stakeholders, project managing contracted reviewers, investigating complaints, identifying risks, developing guidance and resources, analysing compliance data, and contributing to the team’s workplan.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of, or the ability to develop a good working knowledge of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006, Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017, and minimum standards for school and school boarding premises registration.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to develop a good working knowledge of Ministerial Order No. 1359 – Implementing the Child Safe Standards – Managing the risk of child abuse in schools and school boarding premises (Child Safe Standards).
- Proven ability to understand legislative and regulatory frameworks and prior experience assessing and assuring compliance against legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience identifying and responding to risks and applying risk frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with team members to achieve team goals and KPIs.
- Excellent attention to detail with experience establishing work and progress-tracking processes and delivering outcomes within tight timelines.
- Advanced analytical skills to analyse data and information in order to define strategic priorities and initiatives and to prepare informative reports.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, audit, legal or other relevant field.
A minimum of 3 years experience in education administration, law, audit, compliance, risk, or a related field
