- Develop feature-rich Android applications for mobile, tablet, and TV.
- Employ best practices to create scalable, maintainable, and performant code.
- Integrate with backend services to retrieve and display dynamic content.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver the best user experience.
- Collaborate with Frontend and Backend Engineers to ensure quality and consistency.
- Mentor junior team members, review their code, and guide their development.
- Ensure optimal performance of the applications on various Android devices.
- Monitor application performance metrics and troubleshoot any issues.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Evaluate new technologies and methods to improve the development process and application performance.
- Develop and implement unit and UI tests to ensure robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Collaborate with QA teams to fix bugs and improve application performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Android application development.
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin.
- Extensive experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Knowledge of modern architectural patterns, such as MVVM and MVI.
- Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Past work with popular Android libraries such as Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt, RxJava, or Coroutine.
- Experience with developing applications for Android TV.
- Experience with streaming technologies and media playback.
