JD Ross has partnered with a leading electricity distribution company who provide safe, reliable and affordable power to 1.9 million customers across VIC. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Asset Lead to join their growing team based in Melbourne's CBD.

- Electrical distribution across 65% of VIC

The purpose of the role is to provide professional engineering to develop and apply new practices of safe, sustainable and efficient asset management plans. Successfully delivering this work will achieve a balance between asset performance, risk and cost in accordance with the business's strategic objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assessing, managing and implementing risk management plans associated with line assets
- Support the strategic direction in the approach to asset management framework, strategies, plans and procedures
- Apply risk management processes to ensure that selected asset class(es) are managed in accordance with applicable risk management standards, namely AS ISO 31000 and AS IEC 31010
- Engagement with operational and support groups as required
- Develop asset inspection work instructions
- Undertake technical reviews of team deliverables and coach and mentor team members/peers and provide feedback to help them address their areas of development
- Tertiary qualification in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering
- Extensive knowledge of the electricity industry assets in particular electricity distribution networks
- In depth expertise, knowledge and application of asset management principles
- Detailed understanding of asset risk analysis techniques and risk management principles
- Detailed knowledge of contemporary risk based asset management methodologies
- Solid financial and commercial skills; the ability to evaluate and present value to the business
- Detailed knowledge of and experience with financial principles including budgeting and forecasting
- Post Graduate qualifications in asset management or equivalent experience is highly favorable
- Member of the National Engineering Register
