AddressYour role as a Senior Financial Accountant will be pivotal in maintaining our fixed asset register and looking after accounting practices regarding leasing & Occupancy for Country Road Group. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will work directly on month end and year end processes, including the being a subject matter expert for new accounting practices such as IFRS 16. We are looking for an individual with a strong accounting background, fantastic attention to detail, and can deal with the fast-paced nature of the Retail industry.
What does the role involve?
- Preparation and review of monthly accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly reports
- Involvement with the year end statutory accounting process
- Maintenance and ownership of the fixed asset register
- Take ownership of leasing & Occupancy accounting practices, including IFRS 16
- Assist in the preparation of monthly profit & loss and the budgeting & forecasting process
- Identification and implementation of process improvements
Who are we looking for?
- Fully CA or CPA qualified
- Ideally you will come from a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Accounting Firm background
- Experience within a Retail environment will be looked upon favourably
- Intermediate and above Excel Skills (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)
- Experience with IFRS 16 and other leasing accounting practices will be highly regarded
- Strong communication skills to be able to deal with an array of stakeholders
