In this pivotal role, you'll become a trusted advisor, business generator, and legal architect, guiding employers through the intricacies of employment law while generating new business, exceeding financial targets, and shaping the future of work.

About the Role:

• Enterprise Agreement Architect: Lead negotiations and meticulous drafting of complex enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), ensuring optimal outcomes for both employers and employees.
• Compliance Champion: Proactively assess and advise on compliance with Fair Work, WHS, and anti-discrimination laws, minimising legal risks and ensuring smooth operations for your clients.
• Strategic Risk Management: Partner with businesses to identify potential legal vulnerabilities and develop watertight strategies to mitigate them before they arise.
• Dispute Resolution Diplomat: Handle sensitive workplace disputes, mediations, and terminations with a focus on resolution, minimizing disruption and protecting employer interests.
• Policy Architect: Craft clear, effective, and legally sound workplace policies and procedures, promoting consistency, fairness, and positive workplace cultures.
• Business Generator & Client Champion: Develop and implement winning strategies to source new clients, cultivate strong relationships, and expand the firm's reach, consistently exceeding assigned financial targets.
• Commercial Acumen (Advantageous): Possess a keen understanding of commercial law principles and the ability to apply them to matters like drafting and reviewing terms and conditions, labour agreements, and other similar commercial documents, providing holistic legal counsel to your clients.
• Training & Development Guru: Share your expertise through internal training sessions and client seminars, empowering businesses to navigate the complexities of employment law with confidence.

Who We're Seeking:

• A qualified legal professional with 6+ years of experience in Employment Law, with a strong emphasis on Commercial Law, EBAs and workplace relations.
• Demonstrated ability to source new business, cultivate client relationships, and achieve financial targets.
• Business development including but is not limited to marketing, supervision, training, mentoring and settling. 
• Proven experience advising and representing employers on all aspects of workplace law, including complex negotiations and litigation.
• A deep understanding of business needs and the ability to provide commercially-minded legal advice and solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for helping businesses build strong, productive, and compliant workplaces.
• Commercial law background a plus: While not essential, the ability to handle commercial matters related to employment law, such as drafting terms and conditions and labour agreements, will be highly advantageous.
• Bonus: Holding a valid Principal Practicing Certificate and an accredited mediator.
