Your new roleThis team is a small but highly capable team responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the operations' department's third-party service providers, and system & data vendors. In particular, the oversight and management of strategic relationships; the development, implementation, and management of third-party governance frameworks; the ongoing management of contract & commercial arrangements; and facilitating the provision of fit for purpose third party service into the Investment; Finance & Operations teams.The
Senior Associate,
Vendor Management, will work with a high level of autonomy and management, including a focus on service, and a strong ability to engage and influence effectively with senior stakeholders across the Fund and with strategic third-party partners and other vendors.
Key duties include but are not limited to:- Work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Technology Services, and the Investment department to ensure compliance with license agreements and commercials.
- Support the management of relationships with strategic third-party partners and other vendors as per the Fund's Vendor Management framework, including:
- Establish & manage on-going third-party governance & service management forums with vendors, including weekly operational meetings & quarterly service reviews.
- Track and, where required, establish SLAs and vendor data quality metrics, and resolve relationship issues through working closely with business owners to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose, met and services performant.
- Co-ordinate vendor led initiatives/workshops, collating actions & feedback loops.
- Remain abreast of vendor service offerings and product roadmaps to ensure Fund Services and Investment domains have opportunities to take advantage of new and emerging offerings.
- Support the management of third-party risk in accordance with the Fund's Risk Management Framework including ensuring that;
- risks are reviewed, controls tested, and control self-assessments are undertaken.
- appropriate incident management frameworks are in place with vendors.
- Work closely with first line risk to facilitate, support, and participate in operational due diligence activities on vendors.
What you'll need- A minimum 5 years broad investment operations experience from within the investment management/ superannuation/ investment vendor or custodian sectors
- A deep understanding and interest of Investment Management & Operations
- Previous experience in Relationship Management &/or Service Management teams highly regarded.
- Strong ability to engage and build relationships as well as influence people at all levels and functions; can work through difficult problems and situations.
- Ability to clearly articulate a position both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter and comfortable working in a small team where direct involvement in tasks is required.
- Strong understanding of product and service requirements within the investment management/ superannuation industry
- Ability to understand complex matters quickly.
