We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Corporate Secretarial Compliance, based in our Vistra Australia, North Sydney office. Reporting to the Director - Corporate Secretarial Compliance, this full-time and permanent position is based in Sydney and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Corporate Secretarial Compliance and its' growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspection of company records and supporting documents obtained from the client, identifying non-compliance in terms of the Corporations Act and Corporations Regulations and completion of the statutory reports.
- Preparing, co-ordinating and processing ASIC annual company statements, ASIC Industry Funding, Audit Relief applications and solvency statements Dealing with company changes, such as officer changes, share transfers, company address and name changes, and company incorporations and de-registrations, including preparing the required resolutions and ASIC forms.
- Managing relevant tax compliance registrations.
- Frequent communications with local/overseas based clients, offices and other key stakeholders such as ASIC and ATO.
- Determining appropriate ad-hoc fees for service where required.
- Technical queries as received from local and global teams.
- Participation in a variety of compliance related projects.
- Maintaining databases and other tracking tools as required.
- Administrative duties including invoicing/billing.
- Managing a portfolio of clients autonomously for regulatory requirement and documentation required for filing; assist in the overall performance of the Corporate Secretarial Compliance team; contribute to the knowledge, growth and development of the corporate secretarial and compliance team.
- Ad hoc duties.
- Tertiary education in law, business, accounting or finance.
- Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance.
- At least one year experience in another professional service firm.
- Prior experience with CAS 360.
- Relevant technical knowledge of the Corporations Act (2001)
- An ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and make sound judgements.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to continuous development.
