The Senior Associateâ Registry provides registry and transfer agency services and responsible for the processing of subscription, redemption and transfer requests and the releasing of the Net Asset Value / Unit price to the relevant parties. The incumbent will maintain the numerous client relationships and take responsibility for the preparation, review, timely delivery & co-ordination of the tasks in relation to investor registry and regulatory reporting.
The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Processing transactions (incl. subscription, redemption and transfer requests) and adhering to reporting deadlines. This includes checking that orders meet the criteria as described in the prospectus of the funds and the monitoring and following-up on outstanding items
- Collect and verify local Know Your Customer / Anti Money Laundering documentation
- Correctly setting priorities for the numerous tasks that need to be performed
- Preparing redemption and fee payments
- Preparing shareholder registers for various structures (Unit Trusts, Partnerships)
- Distributing finalized Net Asset Value / Unit prices to data providers and shareholders
- Distribution various reports including Tax and Distribution statements to shareholders
- Distributing fund documentation/notices to shareholders and/or approved parties
- Communication with fund accounting and (internal) audit department
- Communication with investment manager, international shareholders (financials institutions, private individuals) and auditors
- Filing and scanning of confidential investor data, and
- Any other tasks that may be assigned.
- 2-4 years experience in a similar role incorporating the above functions
- An ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
- An accountancy qualification is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel (Experience on Paxus an advantage)
