Senior Audience and Insights Manager - Sydney Office - Permanent Full Time

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Audience and Insights Manager to join the team in our Sydney office. Reporting to our Head of Research and Insights, your role sits within Domain's Research and Insights function. This is a cross functional team who are there to amplify the voice of the consumer (end user) and customer (real estate agent) back into the business. As such, you will also work closely with related analytical roles in the business (including the Market Mix Modelling team) to align and maximise our collective thinking. With some strong foundations already in place, your job will be to review, refine and build from what's already there. Ideally, and under your guidance, much of this can be automated. You'll give stakeholders the confidence to self-serve, freeing you up to working on bigger related business questions that take us forward. So this role isn't about doing what's been done before…it's is a genuine opportunity to direct the business to use the insights even more effectively. The inputs to this role will be a wide ranging source of information you'll already be familiar with (e.g. Roy Morgan, Google Analytics, Ipsos). The outputs on the other hand will be your expertly curated narrative that both informs, educates and inspires stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take our audience analytics capability to the next level.

  • Be the go-to (consultant) to the business on all things Consumer Audience. This means supporting the teams on interpreting key 'metrics that matter' by understanding the drivers, market and behaviour that influence how these behave

  • Lead the development of automating data capture & reporting and upskilling the business so that it can confidently self-serve. In time, you will scale this to other parts of the business e.g. our customer audience (real-estate agents)

  • Leverage your curiosity, commercial acumen and data interrogation skills to identify and help solve big business questions related to our 'metrics that matter'.

  • Be the key support for external audience comms from investor reporting, media campaigns etc to support the overall story of 'why choose Domain?'

  • Behind the scenes, develop expertise on all things audience - working closely with external data providers, being the face of Domain Group on the IAB measurement council, and supporting audience strategy based on your expert knowledge

Desirable Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a data insights or reporting function in relation to the digital audience, ideally in a marketing environment.

  • Extensive experience in digital analytics tools that cover website and mobile usage (eg, Google Analytics, Ipsos Iris, Roy Morgan Asteroid, Tableau)

  • You understand the relationship between activities done in-house (sales, product, marketing) affect key audience metrics and can apply this knowledge towards business improvement

  • You're good at finding inconsistencies, and tracking down the missing parts that help explain 'what's going on?'

  • Someone who's curious and can follow the breadcrumbs that help answer big business questions

  • Exceptional storytelling, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement skills to clearly communicate insights and explain complex analysis in an easy-to-understand way.

  • You believe in continuous improvement and take feedback on with a view to make things better

  • You are keen to understand audience trends and the stories that data can tell

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis in an easy-to-understand way.

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, charts and formulae.

  • Highly analytical, logical, and critical thinker with an eye for detail.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects at the same time, within tight deadlines.

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.

  • Strong attention to detail is essential.

  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.
