We are extremely proud of this achievement, as it reflects the investment in our people, their growth and development.About the roleThe Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights is responsible for delivering the Enterprise Risk analytical processes to the Chief Risk Officers, senior management, and Boards of both Australia & New Zealand to support informed risk decisioning. The insights generated are used to provide recommendations on the target capital structure and collective provisioning to ensure the balance sheet is appropriately structured for expected and unexpected losses.Risk Management division provides essential insights and undertakes oversight that guards against residual risk, supporting the development and execution of the Bank’s strategy. The team works with our Line 1 business partners, Country Banking, Wholesale Banking, Operations, Human Resources and Finance across Australia and New Zealand to assess each risk and determine which are critical for the business. The goal of risk management is to:

• Enable the Bank to take risk that will help it achieve its primary objectives while keeping all other risks within appetite and protecting the value of our assets; and
• Make sure our risk processes and supporting frameworks are operating effectively as required under APRA Prudential Standard CPS220 Risk Management in Australia and relevant legislation in New Zealand.

The Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights role is based in Sydney and is a part of the Data & Analytics team within the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) team.Some of the Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of credit risk collective provisioning to meet internal and regulatory requirements for Region Australia and New Zealand (RANZ).
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for RANZ, recommending a target capital structure which aligns with the risk profile, business strategy and regulatory requirements for Board approval.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Regional Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis programs to deepen our understanding of external shocks on the risk profile, to calibrate risk appetite and understand the efficacy of mitigating actions in a stress environment.
• Maintain the recovery and exit plans using stress testing analytics to prioritise mitigating actions and aligning plans to the Risk Management Framework and Crisis Management Plan.
• Deliver risk analyses that align to and support the assessment of material risks and support quantitative calibration of the risk appetite statements.
• Drive core analytical and insights initiatives: portfolio performance; sector analysis; pricing and capital allocation, to ensure business value is being delivered.
• Lead and manage direct reports including setting of objectives, providing feedback and constructive challenge, coaching, training, and development.
• Proactively promote the risk culture and the Rabobank values and behaviours.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in a banking environment, especially with exposure to activities within the Risk Division.
• Experience in credit risk provisioning and stress testing methodology and processes.
• Hand on experience in risk analytics and insights.
• Excellent understanding of various risk governance & frameworks
• Good knowledge of Basel requirements.
• Good working knowledge of New Zealand and Australian regulatory requirements as necessary
• Proven leadership experience.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and gain stakeholder support leading to commitment to action and outcomes.
• Ability to deliver projects and reports to deadlines.
