The stipulated retirement age in the partnership deed at this reputed, global firm will see the senior partner from their Audit and Assurance group leaving the group in four years’ time. In order to maintain continuity for the team and clients, they have identified that the next partner will need to be made up in, at most, two years’ time.
Structurally, there is currently no senior manager within the Perth team to take on this seat, necessitating the attraction of a lateral hire.
Team
The above-mentioned senior partner is a highly experienced practitioner and manager. He prefers an ‘arms-length’ approach to people management. While bringing a Big-4 Audit foundation, he brings an atypical career path for an audit professional, including time in commerce and finance roles. This allows him to bring a unique perspective to files, spotting things that others may miss. In turn, expect this to continue your technical development even at this relatively advanced stage of your career.
There are two additional partners who complement well. The existing team of practitioners are dedicated and technically astute. Your abilities in packaging and presenting a final audit will round out their efforts.
Clients
The global reach of the firm sees a healthy mix of local, national / domestic, and international clients. Being Perth, E&R and Mining Services are well represented. Other industries serviced include technology, professional services, pharma and biotech, and manufacturing (among others).
Your strong Perth network will see you bolster this existing client base through your proven networking and BD initiatives, allowing you to influence the industry spread going forward.

About you
You are a proven audit professional with at least 7+ (ideally 10+) years’ experience in audit. It is expected that you will be able to talk to your local network and examples of your BD acumen. You will also bring a drive for partnership conversion in the near term.
