Join our dynamic and fast-paced Audit team in Wellington as a Senior Auditor and play a key role in fulfilling our mission of making people's lives better. We believe in putting people first and creating a supportive & enjoyable work environment, and we're looking for someone who shares that belief.
In this role you will be given the opportunity to lead year-end audits across a wide range of clients, including NFPs, Maori Business, training organisations and much more.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a minimum of 2-4 years' experience in external audit
- a bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or related area
- a high level of interpersonal skills
- strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to self-manage
- be in New Zealand and hold a valid right to work in New Zealand
- experience leading audits and supervising audit teams is an advantage
- experience in reviewing the work of less experienced team members is an advantage
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Keeping up-to-date with latest accounting and auditing developments
- Identifying statutory and regulatory changes that will affect clients
- Understanding tax issues and their impacts on clients
- Drawing up plans and timetable for assignments
- Reviewing junior staff's work
- Drafting audit planning brief for assignments
- Conducting audits and investigations

What we offer
- A competitive remuneration package of between $80,000 and $85,000 (depending on experience
- Guaranteed hours of at least 37.5 hours per week
