An opportunity has become available for an Intermediate auditor or light senior to join a successful and well-established Top 20 BRW Sydney CBD practice, in their growing Audit Division. The firm also pays for CA/CPA program plus study leave even within standard probation period.
Reporting to the Audit Directors, you will focus on a broad range of external audit assignments and gain exposure to an assorted client base including ASX listed entities, small to large corporate organisations and NFPs. Our clients cover a broad range of industry sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, construction, education and aged care. Our audits are paperless or electronically performed.
Please note that some travel interstate (Brisbane & Melbourne) may be required with members of the Audit Team from time to time. You should have a current right (visa) to work in Australia.
Some specific responsibilities of the role include:
- Assisting Directors with the planning of audits, including designing and implementing audit strategies and procedures
- Conducting and completing field work and analysing financial information
- Completion and management of client work assignments within an efficient time frame
- Contribute technical insights to audit engagements
- Identifying and communicating issues with Directors in a timely manner
- Being a point of contact for client queries
- Willingness to travel for audit engagements including interstate
- Running small to mid-sized audits from planning to completion
- Assisting, and developing the skills of, junior team members
Ideally you will have:
- Ideally more than 1-3 year experience in external audit locally or overseas.
- Relevant degree qualified or near completion.
- Looking to commence the CA/CPA program or already commenced.
- Understanding of caseware will be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A commitment to a long term career within professional practice
