Hays has partnered with one of the leading banking clients whose banking is looking for a Senior Test Engineer. You’ll be part of Global Markets Technology, which consists of a group of specialist engineers that build and deliver services for the Global Markets business – particularly in the area of Foreign Exchange, Money Markets and Interest Rates. The team is highly agile and ensures that solutions adhere to enterprise standards.
Your new role
As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll be working with the team who is in charge of delivering complex solutions for the Global Markets Foreign Exchange business. You will be primarily focused on providing the Foreign Exchange and Money Markets solution components through a combination of manual and Automation Testing.
The role involves ensuring that solutions built and configured by the team are fit for purpose in a highly complex, geographically dispersed, solution. It also involves regular interaction with development teams, including Engineering Managers, as well as Technical Support team members.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in Investment banking and Trading applications is a must
- Expertise in building test automation frameworks - SmartBear or UFT preferred
- Familiarity with server-side scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting
- PL/SQL Skills and Unix/Linux scripting
- Performance testing using JMeter preferred
- Knowledge of CI/CD implementation using Teamcity & Octopus
- Working knowledge of Agile practices
