The CBA technology unit delivers the best digital banking services to Commonwealth Bank customers and to do so is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology and technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security and business resilience for all divisions across CBA. It is also dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for our over 53.000 people across CBA and focused on providing the latest tools, technology, and resources to enhance the way we work together and empower our people to achieve more for our customers.
As part of the Commercial Lending Squad, within the Term Loans Crew, you will be involved in key strategic initiatives that transform the Commercial Lending user experience, drive continuous improvement and risk buy-down. You will work closely with the Product Owner and squad to deliver Commercial lending functionality and experience via minor enhancements as well as significant strategic transformation and change delivery.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible in developing automation framework, test strategy, plans and estimates, translate business requirements and functional specifications into testing requirements. You’ll be embedded into a squad - a cross functional team that is self-managing with end-to-end responsibility for designing, delivering, and optimising a specific customer focused outcome. You will bring your expertise and creative thinking to deliver software, solve business problems, and optimise our systems.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Have deep understanding of quality attributes in SDLC and quality practices
Can demonstrate knowledge of a variety of test design techniques
Creates well-engineered, scalable and reliable tests, and review tests created by other engineers
Contributes to software product development by bringing a testing and broader quality lens to requirements and design
Contributes to feature estimates and ensure that required testing is clearly articulated in the definition of done
Prioritises, designs, builds and maintains well-engineered automated tests across the testing phases for both functional and non-functional concerns
Performs manual test activities such as exploratory testing, usability testing, and acceptance testing throughout the delivery process.
Fosters a learning culture and mentors other engineers to support their career progression and enhance their technical skills
Tech Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
Expertise with programming language – C# using Visual Studio
Deep understanding of API testing tools and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) framework
Proficient using Jira and Confluence
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD implementation - Github and Teamcity
Familiarity with Cloud – AWS Preferred
Any experience with the following would be great: Blazemeter, Winapp Driver, and knowledge of Pega system
