The Opportunity

As a luxury brand, we are actively seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual - an exceptional "A" player to join our team. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Audio-Visual Technician to join our close-knit, professional team. This role is for integrated AV technologies such as Smart Homes & Home Cinemas, this is not live production AV work.

Reporting to the General Manager you will utilise your extensive technical installation abilities and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently. You will perform an integral role in the team, regularly liaising with the project and sales managers to help improve our services and efficiency.

Duties will include (but not be limited to)

• Installing integrated systems and audio-visual technologies
• Cable terminations, rack building, and equipment installation
• Reading and interpreting plans, schedules and producing detailed 'as-built' documentation
• Providing client support and attending service calls for existing installations.
• Providing feedback to the project manager and sales manager on project efficiency
• Occasional Heavy lifting of equipment required (e.g. large TVs)
• Testing and commissioning prior to programming
• Installation and commissioning of Audio-Visual equipment
• Installation and commissioning of Networking equipment
• Programming Automation and Lighting control systems
• Programming other integrated devices
• Attending service calls and troubleshooting systems
• Training junior staff on a range of technology
   

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Audio-Visual Technician
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
• Extensive integrated AV and technology systems installation experience
• Experience with programming control systems such as RTI, Bitwise, CBUS, and Dynalite
• Sound understanding of networking principles and wireless access point installation Ubiquiti or Araknis knowledge a bonus.
• Audio Visual programming and equipment configuration experience
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work autonomously to diagnose issues and faults.
• Proficient with PC and iOS/Android devices
• A strong understanding of the construction methods - Commercial and Residential
• Comfortable working in both Commercial and Residential environments
• Exceptional understanding of WHS regulations and procedures
• Demonstrated passion for learning new systems and technology.
• White Card
• Current Drivers Licence (vehicle will be automatic)
• Security and CCTV installation experience – Advantageous
• Project and Team management experience will be considered a bonus.

Preferred Ticket Qualifications (or desire to obtain)

• EWP Licence
• Security Licence (must be obtained within 3 months of employment)
