Senior Bi Developer

Our client has multiple offices and is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to join a very dynamic, forward-thinking technology team that is experiencing a rapid period of growth. Reporting to the BI Manager you will be working across a variety of projects and initiatives. We are searching for a passionate Senior BI developer with Azure and Databricks experience to assist us in some key deliverables for the business.  

Responsibilities include

• Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards using PowerBI
• Applying principles of effective data visualisation and design to present complex information in a clear manner
• Implementing interactive elements within reports, allowing end-users to explore and analyse data
• Ensuring that report development follows industry best practices and adherence to industry standards
• Evaluating and recommending new features or enhancements to existing reports by staying abreast of the latest BI developments
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align reporting solutions with the objectives and business goals
• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reports through rigorous testing
• Monitoring and optimising the performance of reports and queries
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks to improve overall system performance             
• Supporting business stakeholders with ad-hoc BI and data requests
• Performing data analysis and preparing reports with the results
• Building custom analyses, reports, and dashboards using BI tools
• Working with internal customers, engineering, product/support teams to prioritise requests and reports
• Creating documentation for various processes                                                                                         

Your skills and experience

You will have proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer with strong proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Databricks. You will bring strong expertise in PowerBI for creating interactive along with experience with expert data modelling skills, ETL processes, data warehousing, and T-SQL. You must have the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
