As we continue to grow, we're looking to add a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to our Melbourne CBD team.
This is a full-time position (4 or 5 days), and we’re ready to go immediately with the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and general ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of all accounts.
- Prepare and administer the payroll system, resolve payroll discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Generate financial reports for internal and external use, aiding strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Lead, mentor, and resource junior bookkeeping staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial procedures and controls.
Qualifications:
- Highly qualified through either an academic or professional route, with at least 3 years of professional full-time bookkeeping experience.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Xero accounting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high proficiency in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high levels of responsibility, and meet tight deadlines.
