We are a Medium to Large Plumbing company based in Melbournes South east with over 100 employees. We work for several Major and Small New Home Builders across all Melbourne regions and Geelong. B & D Plumbing was established in 2009 and has been growing and evolving ever since.
Qualifications & experience
- To be considered for this position, a high level of experience will be essential.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Xero and Simpro) or similar
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
- Time-management abilities
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage and control the day to day accounts and bookkeeping duties of a Med/Large business, B&D Plumbing and its smaller sister company B&D Earthworx - We are looking for someone with ambition and self motivation. We offer an opportunity to implement and evolve into a successful long term position.
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
- Forecast costs and revenues
- Manage tax payments
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
- Analyze financial trends
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Payables and Receivables (input and monitor)
