Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper with expertise in creating high-level reporting, proficiency in various systems, and knowledge of the insurance/construction industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our financial data, optimising reporting processes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Utilise accounting software and other systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance with precision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for reporting purposes.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Provide support during audits and financial reviews as necessary.
• Ensuring our debtors keep within the agreed payment time frames and ensuring swift payments are received. 
• Accounts receivable/payable functions. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the insurance/construction sector. 
• Advanced proficiency in software such as Xero, Monday.com or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
