Company Profile:
Since 1984 Norm Engineering has been a family owned and operated company designing and building earthmoving attachments, located in the western suburbs (Darra).
The purpose of this position is to provide support to our external accountant. This role must have 5+ years of experience in commercial accounting and may suit someone who has extensive bookkeeping experience.
This is a full time position - Monday to Friday, immediate start.
Key responsibilities include:
- AR functions such as customer invoicing, customer enquiries, ensuring monthly invoicing audit complete, monthly statements, debt collection and bad debts
- AP functions such as reconcile all supplier and expense payments, preparing weekly and monthly bank records
- Processing customer credit account applications and providing customer trade references
- Complete Bank / Credit / Loan account reconciliations monthly
- Maintaining employee records including TFN lodgements, leave applications & employee reporting both daily and monthly
- Ensure timely completion of BAS, NZ GST and PAYG preparation and lodgement
- Ensure timely completion of Payroll, Income, Fringe Benefit Taxes preparation and lodgement
- Assisting the processing of weekly and fortnightly pay cycles for approx. 100 employees & on-time superannuation lodgements
- STP finalisation at EOFY
- Provide reporting and budgets for Directors & management such as cashflow forecasting and review weekly to actuals
- Bank, intercompany loans, credit card and petty cash reconciliations in preparation for BAS
- Oversee other staff performing finance / accounts functions
- Development & maintenance of applicable systems to their role and any future business initiatives to improve the process
- General administrative duties including; answering and directing phone calls, maintaining soft and hard filing systems, etc.
- Ad hoc items as necessary
