About the Role
Are you keen on working in a small collaborative team? Would you like to be across the entire accounting process and gain an understanding of how it connects to the business? We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Bookkeeper to join our team for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will be an all-rounder who will utilise your extensive accounts expertise to take on a multifaceted finance position. Working under the guidance of the Finance and Accounting Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting the accounting function of our business. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic and autonomous environment, possesses a solutions-driven mindset and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations.
- Support Accounts Receivable processes.
- Manage payroll.
- Perform end-of-month accounting tasks.
- Prepare BAS lodgements.
- Collaborate with external accountants for annual FBT and income returns.
- Reconcile bank and general ledger records.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements.
Skills & Experience required:
- You will have a broad depth of experience in bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in payroll management.
- You are known for being self-motivated and organised.
- Strong time management skills, managing competing priorities.
- Confidence in seeking clarification, suggesting improvements or following up with stakeholders when necessary.
- Full legal working rights in Australia.
