The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Identify and analyse business requirements, undertake business process re-engineering and identify continuous improvement opportunities to ensure information systems meet operational requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies, standards and controls to ensure that information systems are used appropriately and that system integrity is maintained.
- Provide an expert business consultancy in the ongoing development support of information systems.
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams to define, develop, test, implement and evaluate information systems processes.
- Liaise with client groups and external agencies to ensure core systems information exchange meets policing, Government and national requirements.
- Contribute to the development of change management initiatives resulting from changes to information systems.
- Manage all aspects of the system life cycle ensuring that changes benefit end users.
- Foster a challenging, equitable and safe work environment for staff which encourages commitment, skills transfer, development and professional growth and continuous improvement
