We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our client’s dynamic team, focusing on a critical system upgrade project within the energy and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, adeptness in navigating diverse personality types, and a proven ability to foster collaboration and consensus among stakeholders. As a pivotal member of the project team, you will leverage your analytical prowess to elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs.
  
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units to understand their needs, goals, and pain points.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, end-users, and technical teams.
• Employ active listening and empathy to understand differing perspectives and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
• Utilise effective communication strategies to ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and focus groups to gather requirements, conduct brainstorming sessions, and drive consensus on solutions.
• Foster a collaborative environment where diverse viewpoints are valued, and innovative ideas are encouraged.
• Mediate discussions and negotiate trade-offs to reach mutually beneficial outcomes and mitigate resistance to change.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, and system specifications, to serve as a reference for stakeholders and project teams.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant parties throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate requirements and facilitate seamless transition from requirements to solution design and implementation.

  
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst, preferably within the energy and utilities industry or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and navigate challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
