Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a deep understanding of the utilities industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading requirement gathering initiatives, stakeholder management, and conducting Human-Centred Design (HCD) workshops. This role is pivotal in driving our product development and service delivery strategies, ensuring alignment with industry trends and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Facilitate Human-Centred Design workshops to enhance user experience and product usability.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation including business cases, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
- Provide expert guidance and insights on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements within the utilities sector.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Business Analyst in the utilities, water, metering, energy, or electricity sectors.
- Experience across Asset Investment Planning or Enterprise Asset Management is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into functional requirements.
- Experience in stakeholder management and conducting workshops to gather and prioritise requirements.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
