Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Finance Team on a 12 month contract, with the possibility to extend. Reporting to the Head of Finance - Digital, Product and Technology, you will provide Finance support to our Events business. This role involves partnering with the business to provide key financial performance analysis and provide further insights to support business growth and development.
Day to day you will;
Provide business partnering support to your designated units, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple facets of the business, and assist in driving strategic initiatives for revenue/profit growth.
Manage monthly financial preparation,including reporting and analysis, calculating and processing end-of-month accruals and provisions, process improvements and day-to-day financial activities
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, perform monthly forecasts, and develop/implement and maintain relevant models.
Provide performance analysis of periodic results in collaboration with key business leaders, analysing the financial impacts of changes and improvements to the business, and provide insights into the business's financial performance while proactively highlighting gaps
Conduct ad hoc analysis as required
Qualifications
You will be a solid team player, who shows commitment to the team's purpose and effectively contributes and shares skills/knowledge with others. You’ll have an ability to absorb information and act accordingly, often in difficult situations. You will be proactive in discussing solutions and raising ideas for improvement in a positive and professional way, allowing you to build strong relationships.
What we would like to see;
7 + years experience in Finance and commercial accounting
Experience operating as a trusted advisor and valued partner to business leaders
Excellent financial analysis skills
Strong financial modelling skills
Proven experience of successful collaboration between finance and non-finance teams
Form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management
Professional experience working in a fast moving business environment
Desirable
Experience in the Media Industry
Experience using the following systems: D365, Tm1
Graduate degree and/or internationally recognised finance/accounting qualification (i.e. CA/CPA)
Previous Big 4 experience
