Established in 2006, our client is a highly respected and recognised Australian investment research data company providing investment data to the professional investment community. It is publicly recognised for its Property Data and analytic capabilities.
The company has experienced strong ongoing growth and is now looking to take the next step forward. As such, they are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager, who is keenly interested in growing the Property Data and analytics business.
The Role
The objective is to help propel our client to a primary position within the financial services and real estate sector. You will do this by managing our existing clientele of financial services institutions, government departments and real estate groups and by reaching out to new prospective clients not fully aware of their services. You will be heavily involved in the strategic planning of the business unit (including future recruitment).
As well as win new business, you will also ensure delivery to specification of the customised Property Data and analytical services. You will also be responsible for the commercial management and daily handling of contracts and renewal schedules. As part of your role, you will liaise with the IT team and the Managing Director.
Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Business Development Experience (ideally in financial services)
- Relationship building ability - building rapport is key
- Ability to work in a small business environment
- Ability to travel (domestically)
Your background will either be within financial services, government services, real estate or within the Property Data/analytics community. You already have established contacts at the senior level. You will bring to the table your extensive knowledge of the industry and its needs. Experience and relationships in Big 4 Banking would be particularly beneficial.
Fully qualified and with a minimum of five years' experience within the investment industry, you will be a calm yet diligent operator who can handle the pressure of a small to medium office environment and still be focussed on the deliverables.
Salary
The remuneration is highly attractive for the right candidate and structured in a way where, if the business achieves its goals, there will also be considerable additional upside for you.
This is a business with a strong reputation and a passionate and motivated leader. You can make this role into potentially in time a Sale Director (with a team under you) but for now the onus is both on developing the client base and strengthening existing relationships.
