We employ 300 staff across our Gillman head Office Depot and in our regional sites in Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Pirie, Kadina, Clare, Berri, and Victor Harbor.
This network enables us to provide next-day express freight services to all South Australia (Metro and Regional), Broken Hill and Mildura.
Role Description
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales professional to join our team.
This newly created role will support the planning, development, and implementation of fit for purpose commercial solutions that enable the execution of the Cochrane's Transport Sales Strategy.
With a focus on business growth and retention, this role builds and maintains relationships with all major stakeholders to retain existing business and drive the development and growth of the sales and customer service functions.
This role would suit an experienced professional looking for an opportunity to grow and develop their career with a structured development pathway to executive leadership within the organisation.
Our ideal candidate is looking for the opportunity to help shape the future of our Sales function, passionate about South Australia and looking for a genuine development opportunity.
About You
• Proven experience in Business Development and sales
• A genuine passion to make a difference and grow your career with a leading South Australian Transport business
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
• Experience in the logistics or transportation industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
