The Note Issue Department is responsible for development of new banknote designs and the supply of good quality banknotes to meet the community's demand. This position provides support to the Banknote Strategy and Engagement Section in managing banknote production and industry stakeholder engagement.
You will support the Section’s functions by providing comprehensive administrative support services, coordinating meetings and report papers, assisting with research, drafting and analytical tasks.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Drafting and coordinating periodic reports.
Reviewing and reconciling data.
Coordinating meetings and preparing meeting materials.
Monitoring budgets and arranging payment of invoices.
Assisting with updating procedures, documents, and records management.
Assisting with research and drafting of documents and presentations.
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Your background
To be successful in this role the successful individual with have:
Excellent organisation, administration and time management skills
Demonstrated business writing skills.
Demonstrated experience liaising with stakeholders, both internal and external.
Advanced computer skills particularly in Word and Excel. Experience with Power BI is desirable but not essential.

Together teams in Note Issue Department deliver specialised services to provide banknotes that the public can trust. We work collaboratively to provide innovative and trusted solutions that support the current and future use of banknotes. The Banknote Strategy and Engagement Section provides expertise into the research, analysis and development of banknote strategy, planning, design, development, and production. You will assist in stakeholder engagement in the Banknote Equipment Manufacturer industry as well as communicating regularly with Note Printing Australia. The Section is also responsible for the exciting project to redesign the $5 banknote to honour the culture and history of First Nation peoples.
