The Role:
We are on the lookout for exceptional engineers to enhance our Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) team. Opportunities are available for Mechanical Engineers specialising in:
- Composites Analysis
- Shock and Vibration Analysis
Your Impact:
As a pivotal part of our CAE team and reporting directly to the CAE Team Lead, you will:
- Lead in the design and development of composite structures or shock and vibration systems, employing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and classical engineering methods.
- Drive innovation in system design and analysis, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to refine and optimise product designs.
- Leverage simulation software and computational tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Python, ADAMS) for data analysis and problem-solving.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, from requirements to execution and testing.
- Foster continuous improvement within the CAE team, sharing knowledge and developing new tools and procedures.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in mechanical/structural design and analysis.
- Specialised experience in either composite structure analysis or shock and vibration analysis.
- Proficiency in FEA, preferably ANSYS Workbench, and CAD software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude towards personal and team development.
- Experience in the defence, aerospace, or automotive industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO, Defence, and International Engineering standards is beneficial.
