Eligibility: Open to EveryoneThe OpportunityWe have an opportunity for a Senior Climate Change Project Officer to be part of our Major Program and Regions Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.The primary purpose of the role is to support delivery of key PIRSA projects relating to Climate Change mitigation, adaptation and carbon farming as well as playing a critical role in the development of new climate related projects across the department in partnership with other PIRSA divisions and external stakeholders.The role contributes to delivering the agency’s strategic priorities including supporting industry to effectively adapt to a changing climate and supporting on-going market access and leading the primary industry and regions elements of the government’s Climate Change response plan. The role also provides expert technical and policy advice, particularly in relation to delivery of key actions under the South Australian Government Climate Change Actions.This role is expected to work closely with all divisions across PIRSA, as well as building relationships with external stakeholders including industry, community, and government.About UsSouth Australia is internationally recognised for the quality of its agriculture, food, and wine. - Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.

- Desirable: An appropriate qualification in project management, agriculture, Climate Change or environmental management
