Job Summary. To support the Head Chef with managing the kitchen operations in a safe and efficient manner as the Senior Chef de Partie. Responsible for the highest standard of food production and output of menus, food production and own meals, safety, assist in training of Commis and Demi Chefs, personal hygiene and good member relations.

Responsibilities
Food Service Operations. Maintain food safety while carrying out food handling activities and comply with hygienic work practices and appropriate WHS guidelines.
Hygiene and Food Safety. Maintain highest level of food safety and hygiene in accordance with food safety guidelines and club policies and procedures.
Quality control. Receive, store, maintain and rotate kitchen supplies. Report any inconsistencies to the Head Chef.
Workplace relations. Assist with building a strong team by maintaining a harmonious and mutually beneficial working relationship with staff, management and customers in a pressured environment
Team Management. Assist with building a strong team by maintaining a harmonious and mutually beneficial working relationship with staff, management and customers in a pressured environment.
Communication. Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders including senior management, line managers and junior kitchen staff.
Work, Safety, Health and Compliance. Actively support a range of activities in accordance with Work, Health & Safety legislation obligations and in line with Norths Risk Management Program as well as HACCP audit compliance. Ensure compliance wherever necessary including all relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
The Candidate:
Experience in working under pressure in a fast paced and high-volume kitchen
Understanding strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation
Experience in food quality control
Food Hygiene Certificate
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willing to obtain
Chef Trade qualifications
Be a multi-functional chef with an interest in expanding your cooking career
