The Role
As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be collaborating closely with Design Project Managers to effectively design and deliver components within your discipline for assigned projects. Your expertise will support engineering and design efforts across diverse projects, spanning tender design and support, detailed design, documentation, and construction, primarily in the municipality water sector.

- Recognised technical skills in their chosen discipline.
- Evidence of the ability to plan effectively and prioritise work commitments.
- Developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Capacity to operate as an effective and collegial member of a team, in a highly competitive, fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, apply effective problem-solving skills and develop feasible and practical solutions.
- An understanding of budget and time constraints for design activities.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Effective and accurate record keeping / documentation relating to their own design work.
- An understanding of the importance of client relationships.
- An understanding of business drivers with a design and construction organisation.
- Experience in a consulting environment and in design and construct projects is desirable.
