We have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Claims Advisor - Financial Lines, reporting to the Team Leader, Casualty Claims, General Insurance function. You will take full ownership of a portfolio of technical Financial Lines claims, following the Financial Lines Claims manual with guidance from technical resources on best practice and the Zurich Financial Lines Claims strategy.
This objective includes promoting the Zurich Financial Lines claims brand in the Australian market and enhancing the customer experience to ensure they get the best outcome.

Whilst, developing Develop professional working relationships with Financial Lines Claims and Underwriting teams, Head of Complex Claims and Head of Technical Claims as required, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage end to end complex Financial Lines claims
- Claims strategy management including defence, communications, resolutions and recovery
- Develop and maintain relationships with Brokers, Insureds, Insurers, Coverage / Defence Counsel and other vendors
- Develop claim and negotiation strategies on all files appropriate for resolution
- Set accurate and timely case reserves
In order to be successful, you will require the following:
- Law Degree or other/equivalent degree (preferred)
- Multiple years of legal experience in Financial Lines coverage advice or litigation / Financial Lines insurance experience or multiple years of general insurance, Financial Lines experience
- Knowledge on Insurance Contracts Act, Corporations Act, Privacy Act and Competition and Consumer Law
- General broad legal knowledge gained at top or mid tier insurance firm or similar experience in an in-house role and litigation knowledge
