AddressMars Recruitment is partnering with a leading Financial Service's organisation in search of a seasoned Claims professional. As a senior member of the team, you'll play an integral role in providing technical claims advice and mentoring Claims Officers to lift technical capability and deliver excellent commercial outcomes.
Location: Brisbane or Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse portfolio of Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines claims efficiently and effectively.
- Provide specialist technical advice to claims staff on policy coverage, liability assessment, quantum evaluation, strategy, and reserving.
- Collaborate with external service providers, including the External Legal Panel, to ensure timely and optimal outcomes for our clients.
- Maintain accurate claim reserves in accordance with reserving guidelines and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the claims team.
- Mentor junior Claims Officers to enhance their technical capabilities and support their professional development.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in handling Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines claims.
- Strong understanding of insurance policy coverage, liability assessment, and claim quantification.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to various stakeholders.
- Previous experience mentoring claims staff in technical roles is highly desirable.
- While not essential, a legal background would be advantageous.
