At Australian Unity we are going through an exciting phase of innovative change with the commissioning of our brand-new Albert Park Lake Precinct, in South Melbourne, which will bring to life our Better Together® social model of ageing well, which offers a continuum of care and support services in a range of accommodation options in one location.
Currently home to The Grace Retirement Community, which comprises 79 residences, The Alba Aged Care suites (95 beds) and Assisted Living Apartments (60 apartments) will provide customers with a continuum of options from independence through to Clinical Care and memory support. It will offer state-of-the-art facilities within a light filled interior, on-site café, private dining facilities, hair and beauty spa, and gym along with many other activities in the Albert Park Lake area.
Your New Role:
As our Clinical Care Manager, you will lead and support the coordination of all clinical and care needs for residents, ensuring that Retirement Living and Residential Aged Care (RAC) customer's care and clinical needs are assessed, where possible delivered by Australian Unity and met to a high standard.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Role model the aspired Leadership behaviors to source, lead, develop and retain high quality team members aligned to the Australian Unity culture.
  • Lead the clinical and care delivery across the precinct including meeting all RAC requirements and oversight of clinical services into the RV and ALA programs.
  • Lead the effective delivery of a range of customer -centered and compliant aged care services through collaboration with the site management team and central support services
  • Work closely with the Precinct Services Manager to ensure RAC residents receive services of the required standard to enhance their Wellbeing and Align with their preferences and needs for non-clinical services - including Food, Lifestyle, Allied Health and Additional Services under Better Together Plus develop and implement actions within the Annual Operation Plan ensuring all targets are achieved.
  • Help develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and strategies to ensure accommodation and services are delivered in a cost-effective manner and that revenue, costs and capex is managed within set budgets.
  • Collaborate with Retirement and Assisted Living Community Teams (as opportunities present) to support the delivery of the end to end Better Together® customer value proposition including the identification of suitable RAC occupancy and RV service delivery opportunities.
About you:
Above all, you will be an accomplished Clinical Leader, who can develop and drive our Clinical Care strategy, whilst demonstrating our Values of Bold, Warm and Honest.
Does this sound like you?
  • Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience with the Commonwealth Aged Care funding instrument (ACFI) / understanding of the transition to AN-ACC.
  • Knowledge of aged care accreditation procedures and standards.
  • Desirable - Tertiary qualifications in Business or similar and/or a minimum of five (5) years equivalent management experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • An accomplished People Leader with proven experience delivering effective coaching and performance management, whilst creating a positive 'values'-based culture
