NeuroRehab Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist role:
As a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at NeuroRehab Allied Health Network, you will provide psychology services to clientele within our clinics, at client’s residences and in local communities to maximise a client’s function. Our current caseload is varied and interesting with diagnoses including ABI (stroke, TBI), dementia, and neurological conditions (e.g. Huntington's, Multiple Sclerosis).
The Neuropsychologist will join our dedicated Psychology team and work alongside our Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy teams to provide multi-disciplinary intervention to support clients to meet their goals. We are registered to provide behaviour support services with the NDIS.
Snapshot overview of key responsibilities:
- Neuropsychological assessments, including assessments administered via Telehealth
- Cognitive intervention and rehabilitation
- Provision of feedback to clients and multidisciplinary team on their therapy goals
- Basic talking therapy, adjusted to suit our client’s cognitive needs
- Upskilling in and provision of positive behaviour support services
- Supervision of junior team members
- Opportunities for assisting with, or leading service development projects
About you:
We’re looking for an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our dedicated psychology team on a full-time basis, however, we’re open to part-time applicants of 3-4 days or those looking for school-friendly hours. You will preferably be experienced in providing cognitive rehabilitation and behaviour support. The successful applicant will have Board Approved Supervisor status, to support and supervise provisional psychologists and psychology registrars in our team.
Your home clinic for this role can be tailored across our Western (Deer Park, Werribee, or Melton) and Northern (Thomastown, Tullamarine or Bulleen) clinic spaces, providing excellent flexibility to accommodate your general location to minimise travel times.
NeuroRehab clients:
Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants, along with some TAC-funded clients, and privately funded clients. Clients typically present with a range of diagnoses including acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, neuro-developmental diagnoses, and mental health conditions.
Requirements
- Completion of Masters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Knowledgeable in a wide range of evidence-based psychological therapies
- Competency in (or keen interest in the development of) Positive Behaviour Support skills including conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments
- Current registration with AHPRA and endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
- Driver's license
- Internet access
- Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening check prior to appointment and are required to disclose any pre-existing injury or illness which may be adversely affected by undertaking the position.
Desirable
- 5 years or more of experience working as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
- Previous experience providing behaviour support services and neuropsychological intervention within an NDIS framework
- Expertise in working with clients with health or neurological conditions
- Experience working with clients throughout the lifespan
- Experience in working with clients with neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodiversity (e.g. Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder)
