We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Academic Project Operations team.
The successful candidate will lead and manage complex projects ensuring the successful delivery of research initiatives and operational excellence.
The Opportunity
The Academic Project Operations (APO) group work closely with our Research staff to ensure studies/ projects are delivered. The APO group comprises of multiple project teams working closely with Research teams on a range projects which form part of specific research programs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects within scope, time and budget constraints
- Leadership and management of Project Managers aswell as oversight of their direct reports
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to Project Managers and internal and external stakeholers
- Project development and support
- Project start up, implementation and project close-out
- Mentoring Project Managers and / or advising on project management related matters
Our Successful Candidate has:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related science or health care discipline
- At least 10 years' experience in managing all aspects of complex drug intervention clinical/ research in an academic or pharmaceutical environment
- Extensive knowledge and experience of applying research and project management principles
- Extensive knowledge of ICH/ GCP, ethical and regulatory requirements
- Proven research project delivery
- At least 5 years management experience
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement
- Excellent abilities in written and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
