- The Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Acute Response Team (Safeguards) delivers short-term, rapid, extended-hours mental health assessment and intervention services.
- Operating as a multidisciplinary team, Safeguards focuses on assessing and providing brief interventions to address mental health crises in young people and their families/carers.
- These interventions encompass risk management, stabilisation, safety planning, containment, brief intervention, and facilitating connections with various agencies and services.

- This role has flexibility in how support is provided to young people by offering families outreach support including home visits/community-based appointments and offering families appointments outside of usual business hours.
- There are multiple opportunities available within this team, and both Permanent Full Time & Permanent Part Time available (job share considered) – location Taree. These positions will be on a rotating roster which will include afternoon shifts and weekends/public holidays.
- You will be embedded within the CAMHS Acute Response Team (Safeguards) and reports to the Safeguards Team Leader. You will be professional responsibility to the appropriate HNELHD Mental Health - Head of Discipline and will be linked into in discipline specific supervision and supports, alongside the clinical supports of the Safeguards Team.

For Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1, hold required post graduate qualifications in the specialty field
and meet the experience requirements for appointment under the NSW Public Health System Nurses'
& Midwives' State Award. * Current unrestricted Australian drivers' license
About you:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Emotionally intelligent, client centred, passionate, and enthusiastic Senior Clinician who has the ability to support the needs young people and their families during an acute mental health crisis.
- Experience in acute child and adolescent mental health is preferred, however, not essential, you would need to demonstrate that you are effective and efficient learner with transferable skills in acute mental health.
- Expert interpersonal relationships will be key in this role.
