Your role focusses on providing early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention. You will ensure compliance with relevant quality and safety standards, implementation of best practice, manage flow and capacity into the service, including Hawkesbury area outreach work. This position works closely with the Team Leader (Centre Manager) to guide clinical and support staff to adhere to the model of care and evidenced based practice.
About you:
Qualifications:
Approved tertiary qualifications Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent and relevant to the field of work, and provisional or full membership with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body.
Experience:
- Previous experience in providing primary mental health intervention, with conducting assessment and providing evidence-based treatment and case management.
- 3 – 4 years or more clinical experience in working with young people across and range of ages and developmental stages and delivering family inclusive practice.
- Experience leading and participating in regular meetings to support staff to deliver services to clients by mentoring and providing consultation and feedback.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships, with the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with team members, other professionals, and external agencies.
- Excellent knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of young people and their families/carers.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of developmental and cognitive differences in young people’s functioning.
- Experience contributing to clinical review processes and planning consumers within a recovery framework.
