- Base Salary $ 110,497.92 + 11% super + salary packaging up to $15,900 pa (pro rata) available
- Additional $10,500 pa motor vehicle allowance (pro rata)
Your Opportunity
Take Two is a state-wide service providing high quality therapeutic services to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse, neglect or disrupted attachment and are clients of Child Protection. Working within the Bruce Perry’s neurosequential model of therapy, we work with the traumatised child, and with their caregivers, families and communities. We help them understand the child’s trauma, and how it’s impacting their development and behaviours.
As a Take Two Senior Clinician, you will carry a case load of clients including young people, their families and carers, who present at various stages of care.
Through assessment, treatment and closure, therapeutic work will range from short to long term, dependent on the needs and capacity of the client.
Working systemically and collaboratively, you will use theories such as developmental, attachment and trauma theory to guide and develop individual treatment plans to help achieve goals for the young people and families within an appropriate time frame.
This role will be co-located between Berry Street - Bendigo and Anglicare - Bendigo.
Your Skills and Experience
We are seeking an experienced Senior clinician who enjoys working within a multi-disciplinary team and are passionate about seeing young people and families reach their goals. A sound understanding of trauma and the impacts on attachment and developmental milestones for young people is essential.
You will hold a Bachelor degree level or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology, Art Therapy or related discipline, along with significant experience conducting clinical work with children. Experience in training and development will also be highly regarded.
You will have a sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, a demonstrated ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and families, and a sound understanding and demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community.
