What you'll be doing
- The Senior Clinician SPOT is part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and Peer workers. The team provides face to face and telehealth assertive care and follow-up to people in distress or suicidal crisis in the Far West.
- SPOT provides Triage, assessment, crisis response, assertive follow up, safety planning, recovery/wellness planning, advocacy, and collaborative identification of community supports.
- SPOT works alongside Peer Workers at the Safe Haven, an alternative to the emergency department for people in suicidal crisis, and provide clinical support as required.
- As well as providing clinical services, this role will provide senior clinical leadership to the SPOT team, and clinician consultation to the Peer workers at the Safe Haven.
- The positions involves a 6 day roster with evening shifts, with some capacity to negotiate hybrid service delivery.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible
Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Psychologists, OR Tertiary qualifications and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers with a minimum of 5 year experiences. Classifications for appointment are:
- Psychologist
Year 5 and above
- Social Worker Lvl 3
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience working in suicide and mental health including assessment and evidence based interventions.
- Experience in providing clinical support and / or supervision to mental health clinicians.
- Excellent applied communication skills in a wide range of settings including verbal and written, and competence in computer skills.
- A willingness to work shift work including afterhours and weekends as required.
